Exploring
the Modernization of Oregon's Bottle Bill
A Stakeholder Discussion
December 6,

Way SE, Turner, Oregon
For 35 years, Oregon's Bottle Bill
has been an essential part of the recycling success story. It has
effectively reduced litter in Oregon and consistently delivers a high
quality stream of recyclable resources to manufacturers of new products.
But a changing marketplace for beverages and newer curbside recycling
systems have led to decreases in redemption, falling recycling rates for
rigid plastic containers, and an increasingly littered landscape.
