New Education Chair

Angie Marzano on board as new education chair:

 

In accordance with AOR’s bylaws, the AOR board has selected someone to replace former education chair Terri Peterson, who left office in the middle of her term to move to Costa Rica. The new education chair is Angie Marzano, coordinator of the Gresham Resource Efficiency Assistance to Businesses (GREAT) program for the City of Gresham. As education chair, Angie will take the lead in planning AOR’s education conference in June.Angie started her board duties in January and will serve out the rest of Terri’s term, which ends in June of 2007. Elections then will be held during AOR’s annual conference for the education
chair position, along with the treasurer, markets, and legislative chair positions.Public outreach, program development, and collaboration are some of the skills Angie brings to the position of education chair. Currently she manages a public outreach and education program for the City of Gresham, plus she’s developed strong relationships with haulers, business owners, and community members as part of her work promoting
recycling, waste prevention, and buy-recycled programs for the city. She is a master recycler and holds a master’s degree in urban studies. You can meet Angie at any of the AOR board meetings and tours, or at AOR’s conference, June 22 – 24. Be sure to welcome
her “on board” Angie Marzano on board as new education chair.
