Association of Oregon Recyclers Presents Annual Recycler of the Year Awards for 2005

Each year, the Association of Oregon Recyclers selects individuals and organizations to receive Recycler of the Year awards. The eight categories for this year’s awards are: Organization, Reuse and Waste Prevention, Special Innovative Program, Individual, Special Sustainability Award, Government, Processor, and Lifetime Achievement.

Here are this years Recycler of the Year Award winners for 2005:

	Organization: Lane Community College, Eugene, OR
	Alice Soderwall Reuse and Waste Prevention Award: Heartwood ReSources, Roseburg, OR
	Special Award for an Innovative Program: Port of Portland and their partners in the Food Waste Collection Pilot (Embassy Suites Hotel, Sheraton Airport Hotel, LGS Sky Chefs, and Gate Gourmet).
	Individual: Amy Wilson, Metro
	Special Award – Sustainability: Rexius, Eugene OR
	Government: Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Dr. Peter Spendelow, Portland, OR
	Processor: Willamette Resources, Wilsonville, OR
	Lifetime Achievement Award: Becker Projects, Charlotte Becker and Howard Huntley, Gresham, OR
